It’s been a good year for fans of Of the Wand and the Moon and Kim Larsen. While we might still be waiting for a new album, 2016 did see the release of Vril Jäger’s self-titled debut (a much-anticipated collaboration between Kim Larsen and Thomas Bøjden of Die Weisse Rose) and Nebelwerfer, a 7″ from Larsen’s side project Les Chasseurs de la Nuit. Even more exciting for fans stateside, Of the Wand and the Moon played the U.S. for only the second time, as part of the Operation Equinox tour (which also featured sets by Vril Jäger). Those who were lucky enough to attend those shows in the northeast (or the dates the band played in Europe earlier this year) had the opportunity to grab themselves a copy of Tunes for a Twilight, Tears for a Lifetime, a cassette featuring more intimate versions of earlier Of the Wand and the Moon tracks, using vocals, acoustic guitar, melodica, and accordion.
Unfortunately, not all of us could make it to see one of those shows, so for those who couldn’t, we’re giving you a chance to win a copy right here. It’s the European version, which is slightly different than the version offered at the U.S. tour dates: the track list is slightly different and there are alternative mixes.

To win this beauty, we’ve set a little challenge: Back in March 2016, we did an interview with Kim Larsen. In that interview, he names two Beatles albums that were influential on him early in life. Send us a message on our Facebook page with the names of those two albums by 11:59pm EST August 18, 2016 and you will be entered to win. (Don’t forget to like and follow us on Facebook, if you haven’t already!) There will be a random number draw to determine the winner on August 19, 2016 and the winner will be notified within 24 hours. Only one entry is allowed per person and the contest is not open to current Heathen Harvest staff members.
Best of luck to all of you who enter!
