“When I was a child, I started out thinking people were simplistic and stupid, and I’ve never really had to alter that. … I’ll never die. I’ll never go away. … We have raised many generations of pussies.”
Back when the original incarnation of Heathen Harvest was nearing its final days, Pesanta Urfolk/Stella Natura‘s Adam Collins-Torruella notably brought a new face to the website through a series of live video interviews with the likes of John Murphy, In Gowan Ring, and Markus Wolff—a side to our efforts that was unfortunately never given adequate time to be fully realized. Now, however, the extremely talented Kurtz Frausun has given us the opportunity to renew that fruitful tradition by speaking with noise/industrial legend Boyd Rice after his recent performance in Dallas, Texas in this exclusive video interview. The above quote opens the film—clearly both as a tribute to Rice’s infamous brash character as well as the jarring nature of NON in general—and those words are really all we wish to leave you with as an introduction to twenty-seven minutes of Boyd’s World. Enjoy. Or don’t. There really is no in between.
Haven’t had enough Boyd Rice yet? Check out this illuminating live report of the gig from our friends over at Plague Haus. Our own write-up from HD Atkinson is forthcoming.
